A committed physician with over 13 years of experience serving the Limb├® community in Haiti. His expertise includes HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis management, and he actively supports community healthcare initiatives.
Having grown up in Cap-Haitian,
Dr. Dwight ST. FLEUR is a well-trained physician with more than 13 years of practice experience in the county of Limb├® (north of Haiti). Conscientious and dedicated to his community, he has been working as a general physician at Bon Samaritan Hospital in Limb├®, since 2009. During this time, he was also the site manager of the HIV clinic for International Child Care (ICC) first (2012-2014), and later (2014-2015) for the Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB). He has been engaged in several community initiatives to improve primary healthcare access in the community.
Dr. ST. FLEUR obtained his medical degree in 2009 from the State University of Haiti and
received some special training in the management of HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis particularly
with I-Tech, NASTAD, and CDC.

Amanda Birnbaum
A public health professor and researcher at Montclair State University, Dr. Amanda Birnbaum focuses on social environmental factors affecting health and equity. She is a founding board member of Lakay Acc├¿s Sant├®, supporting immigrant communities in New Jersey with ESL and healthcare access.
Amanda Birnbaum is a Professor and deputy chair in the Department of Public Health at Montclair State University, where she has been part of the faculty since 2005. She earned a PhD in epidemiology from the University of Minnesota, an MPH from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, and more recently, an urban naturalist certificate from the New York Botanical Garden. Through her work, she seeks to understand and improve social environmental factors ÔÇô such as school and neighborhood environments, and access to the outdoors ÔÇô as they relate to health, social justice, and people thriving.
Over the course of her career, she has served as a research partner with organizations working to improve community food access and healthy eating environments, promoting outdoor experiences for families and children, and preventing maternal mortality. She is proud to be a founding member of the board of directors of Lakay Access Sante, a community-based nonprofit serving new immigrants to NJ with ESL and equitable and customized health access for all.
Dr. Birnbaum is passionate about teaching in the MPH program, preparing future public health leaders whose diverse perspectives, lived experience, and passion for social justice will help lead us on a path towards health equity in NJ and beyond.

Originally from Haiti, Henricles Jeudy specializes in HIV/AIDS prevention, community health, and healthcare management. He holds an M.D. from Cuba and an MPH in Health Management and Policy from Georgia State University. Henricles has led initiatives to provide affordable healthcare to underserved populations in Haiti, including managing antiretroviral clinics and projects funded by The Global Fund and USAID. Currently, he works as an ORISE Fellow with the CDC, focusing on the social determinants of health to improve outcomes for marginalized communities.
Henricles Jeudy, originally from Haiti, is an exceptional Medical Doctor (M.D.) and public health professional, deeply committed to advancing health equity and improving community health outcomes. He earned his M.D. from the Escuela Latino Americana de Medicina in Cuba and later enhanced his expertise with a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree specializing in Health Management and Policy, along with a Graduate Certificate in Maternal and Child Health from Georgia State University (GSU).
After completing his medical training, Henricles returned to Haiti in 2013, where he served as a
primary care provider and led various health initiatives aimed at delivering sustainable and affordable healthcare to underserved populations. His notable work includes managing antiretroviral clinics and coordinating significant projects funded by The Global Fund and USAID, which focused on strengthening healthcare systems and preventing the spread of HIV and tuberculosis. In recognition of his impactful work, Henricles was awarded a prestigious Fulbright scholarship to pursue his MPH at GSU, where he continued to excel in his commitment to public health. Following his graduation in 2023, he made a profound impact at CentraCare in Minnesota, bridging cultural and socioeconomic gaps between the Hispanic community and healthcare services. He now continues his influential work as an ORISE Fellow with the CDCÔÇÖs Division of HIV Prevention, focusing on the social determinants of health. We are thrilled to welcome Henricles Jeudy to the Lakay Access Sante (LAS) team.
