Empowering newly arrived Haitian immigrants with vital mental health resources and community connections

On Saturday, July 19, Lakay Accès Santé Inc. had the honor of participating in a community health event hosted by Interfaith-RISE in Vineland, NJ.
Workshop: "Monitoring Mental Health"
We delivered an essential workshop to a group of nearly 40 newly arrived Haitian immigrants, focusing on:
- Recognizing early signs of mental health challenges
- Understanding when and how to seek help
- Navigating mental health resources in a new country
- Breaking stigma around mental health in our community
Community Resources Shared
During the session, we also shared vital information about local community resources, including where to access culturally and linguistically appropriate health and social services.
