LAS extends its deepest gratitude to each partner and volunteer who made this event possible. Maranatha 7th Day Adventist Church opened its doors and provided a welcoming space for the entire community. MEND generously supplied fresh produce distributed to participants as part of the community giveaways. The Newark Health Department and Community Wellness jointly provided WIC Program informational resources and conducted prescreening for eligible participants. Handz On Lab Solutions delivered comprehensive cardiovascular lab screenings at no cost to participants. A heartfelt thank-you also goes to every volunteer who gave their time, energy, and compassion to ensure that each of the 59 residents served felt welcomed, respected, and cared for.

This event is part of LAS's 2026 goal to reach community members where they are — through partnership — for direct health services, education, and advocacy. Interested partners and funders are encouraged to reach out.
